All following configuration changes will be made to the file /etc/cups/cupsd.conf . You will need to restart the CUPS daemon or send it the HUP signal to apply the changes.
If you have every edited the httpd.conf file from Apache then this file will look very familiar to you. This is by design – mostly because CUPS is based on IPP which in turn uses HTTP.
