EventSentry is a service that runs on Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server and WinXP that actively monitors
your server's (or workstation's) event log, system health and network. Configure EventSentry to notify you if important
events matching your filter criteria occur or consolidate your event logs into one central location such as a central ODBC database.
Through EventSentry, you can be actively notified in several ways when events take place including email, ASCII file, ODBC (database),
Unix syslog, SNMP, network (net send), process, sound and desktop. In addition, system health monitoring can notify you if
services are stopped (and optionally start them) or essential processes are not running, if diskspace is low,
applications are added or removed, backup event logs and much more.
EventSentry also emulates a Unix/Linux syslog daemon in which incoming syslog packets are logged to the Windows event log.
News: Starting with version 2.60, EventSentry supports sending SNMP traps and can also notify you when applications are installed
and / or register themselves in the registry (e.g. Autorun) to be automatically launched when a user logs in.
