The Gateway IP Monitor comes with a setup routine which takes care of the complete installation of the product. After the installation is complete you will only have to set the relevant configuration options.

Gateway IP Monitor consists of two major parts, the GUI (graphical user interface) and the service.

GUI

The GUI configures and controls the service and is the part of Gateway IP Monitor that is relevant to the user. For information on how to configure Gateway IP Monitor click here.

Service

The service performs the actual work. A service has the advantage of running all the time, regardless of whether a user is logged on or not. Services are only supported on Windows NT and later however. The service is configured through the GUI.
